It’s been a frustrating two days thanks to rain but looks like I’m still on track to see Federer go through to the Grand Final after defeating Soderling in the quarter-finals, 6-0, 6-3, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (6). Apparently it was his 12th straight victory over Soderling. And Nadal made quick work of Gonzalez.

Its kinda unimaginative but I’m backing the top seed and defending champion Roger Federer who’s now through to the quarter-finals. He’s up against Robin Soderling to qualify for the semi-finals and Federer comes in as the favourite. I think it’d be pretty impressive to see him become the first player since 1925 to win six straight US Open titles. My tips is that he’s well on his way to winning...
