Tiger held a press conference on Easter Monday and following his comments, sportsbooks such as Sportbetting.com noted a significant increase in volume of bets being placed on the tournament. Many bookies are expecting a 50 per cent increase in the number of bets from last year and this has been attributed purely to the circus that has surrounded Tiger this year. So it seems that Tiger’s triumphant return to golf has at the very least been a coup for the sportsbooks. If you are going to place your money on Tiger (even though I think there a few others in with a shot of winning) it is worth doing your homework to make sure you get the best available price to maximise your return if you backed the winning golfer.
