Cesar Delgado scored an impressive last minute goal on 20 Oct for Lyon to seal a 2-1 against the Liverpool Reds which is now their fourth successive defeat. As if the absence of Fernado Torres and Glen Johnston due to injury wasn’t already enough of a blow to Liverpool, they then lost their captain, Steven Gerrard, only 25 minutes into the game with a groin problem. Champions League: Man U defeats Wolfsburg
United came from behind to win the match on 30 Sept with 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg. Ryan Giggs scored his 150th goal for United. They now lead Group B by 3 points. United are still the fourth favourites to win behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea and can be backed at 10.0 to win the season. The Champions League football has finally just kicked off!!! Barcelona is the reigning champion at the moment and are again the favourites to win this most prestigious trophy in European football.
