They went in to the match as the slight favourites and in the end the final score was Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United. Captain John Terry scored the second half-goal in the 76^th minute with a free kick from Frank Lampard.  Man U came close on a couple of occasions but Chelsea defence proved too strong.  Chelsea has now set a new club record of 11 straight home wins. Both Man U and Chelsea drew in the Champions League matches this week ahead of the game with each other.  Manchester had to work hard to level the score with CSKA Moscow and fought back from a deficit of 3-1.

I still can’t work out why Chelsea is favoured ahead of Manchester United. I wasn’t so impressed by their recent performance against Apoel.
