As if the absence of Fernado Torres and Glen Johnston due to injury wasn’t already enough of a blow to Liverpool, they then lost their captain, Steven Gerrard, only 25 minutes into the game with a groin problem. It was all downhill after this point.  Their chances of qualifying for the knockout stage of the Champions League is now looking seriously shaky.  Liverpool is still placed third in the Champions League Group E.

And unsurprisingly, Barcelona is still the top favourite to win followed by Chelsea, Read Madrid and Man Utd. The most favoured top goal scorer is Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
