Giggs named UK sports personality of the year

Premier League: Chelsea Too Strong for Man U

Last weekend’s match between Chelsea and Man U was a battle of the top dogs in the Premier League and resulted in Chelsea now being the clear leader on the ladder by five points. They went in to the match as the slight favourites and in the end the final score was Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United. Champions League update: Lyons a late winner

Cesar Delgado scored an impressive last minute goal on 20 Oct for Lyon to seal a 2-1 against the Liverpool Reds which is now their fourth successive defeat. As if the absence of Fernado Torres and Glen Johnston due to injury wasn’t already enough of a blow to Liverpool, they then lost their captain, Steven Gerrard, only 25 minutes into the game with a groin problem. Champions League: Man U defeats Wolfsburg

United came from behind to win the match on 30 Sept with 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg.  Ryan Giggs scored his 150th goal for United.  They now lead Group B by 3 points.  United are still the fourth favourites to win behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea and can be backed at 10.0 to win the season.
