Barcelona is the reigning champion at the moment and are again the favourites to win this most prestigious trophy in European football.  But then the French side, Lyon, is also a very strong side in my opinion.  As for Real Madrid, even though they are the second favourites to win at the moment, I have a bit of trouble taking them seriously and worry about the egos of some of their team members!  This is the first season with the new qualifying format so there are several teams from minor leagues that have been given the opportunity to play for the first time.  They may have less experience but I don’t doubt that they may give some teams a run for their money.  But is really is a bit of gamble at this stage as to who may come out on top at the end of the day.
